Previous experience includes Federal Communications Commission - 1971-1975, Attorney, Broadcast Bureau (now Media Bureau). Partner, Keith & Smithwick, Winston-Salem, North Carolina; Partner, Baraff, Koerner, Olender & Hochberg, P.C., Washington, D.C. Adjunct Professor - Wake Forest University School of Law (Taught Administrative Law) - 1977-1984.

Industry Experience – Former stockholder, InterMart Broadcasting West Coast, Inc., licensee of WWWD(FM) [now WRQC], Estero (Naples), Florida; formerly part owner of (WTPX(FM) [now WOLL], Hobe Sound (Palm Beach), Florida; WYOS(FM)[now WWYL], Chenango Bridge (Binghamton), New York; former president, stockholder, Consolidated Broadcasting Corporation, former licensee of WLXI-TV, Greensboro, North Carolina; former part owner of WXDJ, North Miami Beach, Florida; former part owner of WMMO(FM), Orlando, Florida. Continuously employed in broadcasting 1962-1971. Began radio career as a part-time announcer in 1962 at WNOS (AM/FM), High Point, North Carolina. Also employed at WCOG, Greensboro; WPTF (AM/FM), Raleigh; WRAL-FM, Raleigh; WAIR (AM/FM), WSJS (AM/FM/TV), both Winston-Salem, all in North Carolina.

Personal - Born in High Point, North Carolina, on May 5, 1946. Married to former U.S. Justice Department attorney, Margaret R. Snyder. Two married children. Four grandchildren.

Hobbies – Cruising, Sailing, Traveling, Reading, Golf, French.
